Smart Parcel Lockers for a Global Media Company
Challenge
A global media company needed a more efficient way to distribute packages from its in-house mailroom at its London headquarters. The solution had to reduce manual handovers, give employees greater flexibility over collection times and encourage regular use by being positioned in an accessible part of the workplace.
Solution
Hublok designed and installed intelligent parcel lockers on the building’s social and canteen floor, integrated with the Metafour mailroom management system. Mailroom staff can securely deposit packages and automatically notify recipients, who collect their items independently by scanning a barcode. A bespoke art graphic was developed with the client and applied across the locker frontage to complement the surrounding interior.
Outcome
The mailroom team now has a streamlined and fully traceable package-distribution process, while employees can collect items at a convenient time without relying on a staffed handover. The Metafour integration, prominent location, touchless collection process and custom graphic finish have transformed a practical parcel solution into an engaging workplace feature.
