Smart Lockers for a Global Financial Institution in Dublin

Challenge

A global financial institution required a secure and efficient way to manage both incoming parcels and internal item transfers at its Dublin workplace. The solution needed to support high-security operations, reduce manual handling by the mailroom team and provide employees with flexible access outside staffed collection times.

Solution

Hublok designed, manufactured and installed a smart locker system using Metra technology, fully integrated with the organisation’s existing Metafour mailroom management platform. The lockers support two workflows: inbound parcel collection and secure peer-to-peer distribution between employees, with automated notifications and a full audit trail for every transaction.

Outcome

The organisation now benefits from a secure, traceable and largely self-service distribution process. Mailroom teams have reduced manual administration, employees can collect or exchange items at a convenient time, and the business has greater visibility over the movement of parcels, documents and other workplace assets.
